Check a folder before delivery or deeper processing
Folder Sanity Check gives you a quick inventory-level review of the files you selected. It is useful before a client handoff, archive, upload, record-to-file match or more specific readiness check.
Find empty files and duplicate filenames early
Zero-byte files can indicate an incomplete export or failed copy. Duplicate filenames can create ambiguity when files from several locations are combined. TaskThimble surfaces these as findings so you can review them before they cause a later import or delivery problem.
Naming differences are signals, not automatic errors
A folder can contain inconsistent capitalization, separators, numbering or filename patterns for perfectly valid reasons. The tool therefore reports naming signals without claiming that one naming style is universally correct.
Evidence, not automatic cleanup
TaskThimble does not rename, delete or move files in Folder Sanity Check. Findings remain reviewable and the selected source files stay unchanged.
If a compatible file set is already current in TaskThimble, Folder Sanity Check can reuse a compatible current local set instead of asking you to select the files again.
Use a more specific check when rules are known
If a client, marketplace or internal process defines exact formats, sizes, counts or naming rules, continue with File Readiness Check. If a spreadsheet defines which files should exist, Data ↔ File Matcher is the better next step.
