Check repeatable text consistency rules without rewriting the text
Text Consistency Check is useful when a document, export or content set should follow preferred terminology and basic formatting conventions. You provide the terms that matter; TaskThimble then surfaces visible consistency signals for review.
What it can check
Checks include preferred terminology you supply, repeated spaces, tabs, repeated blank lines, mixed quote or dash characters and repeated tokens that appear with different case. These are deterministic signals rather than editorial scores.
Preferred terms stay under your control
If a product name, organisation term or project phrase should use one form, add that preferred form explicitly. The tool does not invent a style guide or assume that a variant is wrong without a rule you supplied.
What it deliberately does not do
It does not score writing quality, rewrite sentences, diagnose grammar or claim that every case difference is an error. Context can make a variation intentional, so findings remain reviewable.
Use the result to make targeted edits
Correct only the findings that are genuinely inconsistent with your intended terminology or formatting, then run the check again on the revised text when consistency matters for delivery.
